The idea behind Rainforest Shower is a simple one: Why shouldn’t personal care be good for both you and the environment? We set out to make soap that's genuinely good — for your skin, for the environment, and for the ritual of showering.

Every bar is made in small batches in Zürich, using traditional cold process. Unlike commercial detergents, our soaps retain natural glycerin and preserve delicate botanical nutrients. This yields an ultra-moisturising, eco-friendly cleanser, free of harsh synthetic additives.
Jeder Riegel wird in Kleinserien in Zürich im traditionellen Kaltverfahren hergestellt. Im Gegensatz zu Industriewaschmittel bleibt das natürliche Glycerin erhalten — das Ergebnis ist ein ultrafeuchtigkeitsspendendes, umweltfreundliches Reinigungsmittel ohne aggressive Zusätze.

We cure each bar for at least six weeks before it reaches your hands.

Every bar is made by hand using the cold process method — the same technique used for centuries. No shortcuts, no machines. Just oils, lye, time, and care. Each batch is poured, cut, and cured individually, which means no two bars are ever exactly alike.
Jeder Riegel wird von Hand im Kaltverfahren hergestellt — dieselbe Technik, die seit Jahrhunderten verwendet wird. Keine Abkürzungen, keine Maschinen. Nur Öle, Lauge, Zeit und Sorgfalt.

We produce in small batches to avoid waste. Our cold process preserves every natural by-product — including the glycerin that makes your skin feel nourished, not stripped.
Wir produzieren in kleinen Batchen, um Abfall zu vermeiden. Unser Kaltverfahren erhält alle natürlichen Nebenprodukte — einschliesslich des Glycerins, dass deine Haut gepflegt statt ausgetrocknet fühlt.

Skin-Kind / Hautfreundlich

We formulate with plant oils and botanicals that work with your skin, not against it. No sulphates, no synthetic preservatives, no fillers. The natural glycerin retained in cold process soap draws moisture to the skin — something commercial soaps remove entirely.
Wir formulieren mit Pflanzenölen und Botanicals, die mit deiner Haut arbeiten, nicht dagegen. Kein Sulfat, keine synthetischen Konservierungsstoffe. Das natürliche Glycerin zieht Feuchtigkeit in die Haut — etwas, dass kommerzielle Seifen vollständig entfernen.

Weight the Oils / Öle abwiegen

Each batch begins with a precise blend of nourishing oils — coconut, olive, castor, and shea — weighted to the gram.
Jede Charge beginnt mit einer präzisen Mischung pflegender Öle — auf das Gramm genau abgewogen.

Saponify / Verseifen

Oils meet lye at carefully controlled temperatures. This reaction — saponification — is what creates real soap and locks in natural glycerin.
Öle treffen bei kontrollierter Temperatur auf Lauge. Diese Reaktion — die Verseifung — schafft echte Seife und bewahrt das natürliche Glycerin.

Scent & Pour / Duften & Giessen

Essential oils, clays, and botanicals are added by hand. The batter is poured into moulds and shaped into each bar's unique design.
Ätherische Öle, Tone und Botanicals werden von Hand hinzugefügt. Die Masse wird in Formen gegossen und zu einzigartigen Designs geformt.

Cure 6 Weeks / 6 Wochen Reifen

Patience is the final ingredient. Curing produces a harder, milder bar with a richer lather that lasts far longer in the shower.
Geduld ist die letzte Zutat. Die Reifung ergibt einen härteren, milderen Riegel mit einem reicheren Schaum, der viel länger hält.

Unfortunately, the September markets have been cancelled by the organizer. This wasn't our call, but we know it's disappointing — we were looking forward to seeing you there too. We'll share new dates as soon as they're confirmed.

Die Septembermärkte wurden leider vom Veranstalter abgesagt. Das lag nicht in unserer Hand, aber wir verstehen, dass das enttäuschend ist — wir hätten euch dort auch gerne getroffen. Neue Termine geben wir bekannt, sobald sie feststehen.
